FUNCTIONAL JOB ANALYSIS (FJA)
FJA is the process of evaluating and empirically measuring the critical functional demands of the job. The FJA involves analyzing the worker, the work and the worksite. With the assistance of a worker who performs the job, the FJA objectively quantifies, measures, and categorizes the active components of the job, including the required movements, functions, forces, actions and postures.
BENEFITS OF FJA:
- Objective information including measurements, video, and on‐site observation
- Advice on how to make work safer for all employees
- Necessary information for writing ADA & ADAAA compliant functional job descriptions and pre-work screens
FUNTIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION (FJD)
The FJD is developed based on the objective information that is gathered during the Functional Job Assessment. (FJA). The FJD is essential for accurate development of a POET or Pre-work screen or test.
